IP mikrotelefony jsou navrženy pro komunikaci po síti ethernet. Svoji konstrukcí jsou určeny pro umístění v kabině řidiče / strojvedoucího nebo v oddíle pro vozidlový personál. Umožňují komunikaci mezi strojvedoucím a vozovým personálem nebo s cestujícími, kteří komunikují přes interkomy. Snadno se instalují do IP sítě, jejich čelní kryty mohou být přizpůsobené individuálním požadavkům projektů.

AMiT audio ústředny (komunikační brána) zprostředkovávají systém pro:

Připojení ústředny k audio systému vlaku je zajištěno dle rozhraní specifikované v UIC 568.

AMiT palubní interkomy na IP komunikační bázi zajišťují komunikaci mezi cestujícími, řidičem a posádkou kolejových vozidel, v případě nouzových situací pak umožnují cestujícím tísňová volání. Mikrofonní jednotky slouží ke snímání zvuku ve vozidle a jeho převod na IP audio. Pro hlášení strojvedoucího jsou určeny mikrofony v provedení na husím krku. Součástí tohoto mikrofonu jsou tlačítka pro volbu funkčního režimu. Pro snímání zvuku v prostoru pro cestující je určen (interiérový) ruchový mikrofon.

Dostatečnou reprodukci zvuku v kabině řidiče nebo strojvedoucího, v prostoru pro cestující nebo před vozidlem zajišťují vhodně rozmístěné reproduktory. K dispozici jsou reproduktory v robustním provedení se zvýšenou odolností proti vlhkosti, použitelné uvnitř i vně vozidla.
