A leader in the development and production of control systems and electronics for transport and industrial automation, the Czech company AMiT, has acquired Top Power, which manufactures, assembles, tests, and installs electronics. The parties have decided not to disclose the amount of the transaction.
The dynamic growth of AMiT requires higher production capacities. Top Power has these capacities, which makes their merger strategically significant. “Our foreign orders in particular are growing at a rapid pace. In order to smoothly enter new markets, we must guarantee our customers maximum production capacities. The decision to buy a company with extensive experience and a strong background means that we can start new production almost immediately. Not only can we increase capacity, but we can also better guarantee delivery times and the logistics chain,” says Aleš Krutina, CEO of AMiT.
The AMiT Automation division will now have its own production, increasing its overall production capacity and saving some costs. Production in Prague will continue as usual and will immediately benefit from the capacity freed up for the Transportation division. The production capacity in Votice will continue to be used for existing customers and partners of Top Power. “We are developing fields that have enormous global potential. Today, we are among the leaders in our field, mainly thanks to continuous investment in new technologies and the strengthening of our development, production, and service capacities. The development will continue also in Votice, where we already see opportunities for further investment and production development. We look forward to welcoming new colleagues and working on interesting AMiT projects that await our existing and newly acquired employees in the near future,” adds Krutina, under whose leadership the newly acquired Top Power will operate.
