Michael Fohrer is a highly accomplished executive with more than 30 years of international leadership experience across the mobility and industrial sectors. He he held a series of senior roles in services and operations in Bombardier Transportation. From 2016, he served as Chairman of the Management Board of Bombardier Transportation in Germany (largest company in the group) and, from 2017, also as President of the Region of Central and Eastern Europe, Israel, China, Russia and the CIS. In these positions, he led complex operations with over €2 billion in annual revenue and 8,500 employees, successfully implementing major transformations—streamlining the organization, introducing modern P&L structures, and improving profitability. Before that, he spent 18 years at Otis Elevator Company in key management roles across Europe, China, and the U.S. For many years, he actively shaped industry policy through roles such as President of the German Railway Industry Association, board member of the German Transport Forum, and supervisory board member at the Institute of Railway Technology. He contributed to national and European transport strategy and industrial modernization. Michael currently serves on the Advisory Board of RAIL Sachsen e.V.

Michael Fohrer holds a degree in Business Administration from Pforzheim University and completed the Senior Executive Program at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia. He is married with two adult children.
